Aiforsite has been awarded a contract to deliver advanced site surveillance systems for the South Clyde Energy Centre, a project developed by Fortum Glasgow Ltd. Fortum Glasgow chose Aiforsite based on our proven expertise in servicing large industrial sites, our international operations, and the versatility of our real-time technology solution.
The South Clyde Energy Centre, an Energy from Waste (EfW) facility, will play a critical role in delivering the Scottish government’s landfill ban. The plant will commence commercial operations in 2026, aligning with Scotland’s ban on landfilling biodegradable municipal waste by the end of that year.
Fortum Glasgow Limited, a partnership between Fortum Oyj and Macquarie Asset Management’s Green Investment Group (GIG), is overseeing the construction of the South Clyde Energy Centre.
Aiforsite’s system will enable remote monitoring and continuous visual documentation of the site, significantly mitigating and preventing potential risks throughout the construction phase.
The comprehensive Aiforsite system will provide the South Clyde project with a real-time view of the site using cutting-edge site cameras, 360-degree video, and drone visualization services.
Since 2016, Aiforsite’s modular Productivity Management Platform has been successfully implemented in over 140 construction projects worldwide. Our innovative technology solutions have been deployed in Finland, Norway, Denmark, the UK, India, and Malaysia.
